At Dusk: Chapter 6
My Fictional Stories
“What’s up with C-2 now Ace?”
“There was leakage of coolant.”
“Couldn’t you sweep it up with your cleaning module? I thought they remembered to turn it back on.”
“They did, but severe conditions require someone more capable.”
Ex was indeed more capable than Ace was. His friend was just a mere talking interface with few set automatic tasks. General problems required more sophisticated bots or actual humans, so Ex was put in charge of these situations.
Author’s Note: From this point on, I’m responsible for everything that is written.
“Looks like I’m the only one suited for these laborious tasks.”
“Very well then Ace, hopefully the leakage isn’t linked with the repair module I borrowed from Big R.” Ex replied, his arms crossed, sitting on his only favorite seat.
“The small one?”
“Yeah, like there’s more than one around in this damn attic of a room.”
“Alright, alright. Initiating Repair Module R-7.” Ace answered. “This is going to take a while. Can I get you a drink?”
“Get me… A soda. Also, while you’re there, could you bring one of the toolboxes?”
“Jeez, Ex. I’m your helping bot. Not your servant.”
“C’mon Ace. You beautiful computer.”
“Ugh… Fine, this requires disrupting the ladies of Project O.” Ace sighed in his most robotic voice.
“Very well. I’ll be waiting.”
After that, the screen flipped to solid black and Ace went on his way to notify the Service Team to get himself a drink he could never taste and a toolbox he can’t ever use back to C-2.
